Cleaning Throttle Body, MAP Sensor & Replacing Fuel Filter

The throttle body controls your engine's air intake, so keeping it clean is vital maintenance to keeping your car running smoothly. Throttle body cleaning is a necessary part of vehicle maintenance since the throttle body plays a significant role in the smooth running of the engine.

MAP sensors contain no moving parts, and they don't typically wear out, but cleaning the MAP sensor may be required if it’s contaminated by carbon or other deposits from the engine. If voltage is slow to respond to pressure changes, contamination could be responsible.

It's important to self-service your fuel filter. Not only is the filter responsible for collecting contaminants, but it also maintains the condition of your fuel injectors. Let your filter clog up, and your fuel injectors will also become damaged.
